My initial impression with the Holy Stone HS110G drone was how sleek and small it is. With a size dimension of 12 x 7.6 x 3.6 inches, this fixed-wing quadcopter can comfortably sit on an adult’s palm hand. Unlike these foldable drones, the Holy Stone HS110G drone is equipped with two landing gears. Which provides protection for the camera against touching the ground. It also ensures a safe landing.
Underneath the drone is a built-in 1080P HD camera. The Holy Stone HS110G drone can both capture stills and record videos in 1080 resolution quality. Each motor arms are equipped with brushed motors — typically found on toy drones and low-end camera drones. The battery is located on the back and provides up to 13 minutes of flight time
I also liked how modern the drone design is. Everything about this camera drone is simple enough for a beginner to learn how to fly it. Plus the quality of material that’s used to craft the Holy Stone HS110G drone is made with a durable and thick shell. Which provides exceptional durability. Overall a great drone with solid build.

Holy Stone HS110G Drone: Camera Quality
If you want to become an aerial photographer someday in the future, perhaps to make money with drones and fly one of these premium drones such as the DJI Mavic Air 2 and Phantom 4 Pro. Getting started with an inexpensive smart camera drone like the Holy Stone HS110G quadcopter is a great way to get your feet to the front.
The Holy Stone HS110G drone is equipped with a built-in 1080P HD camera. It is capable of capturing 1920 x 1080 camera resolution quality. The stills are blended together to deliver a high-quality production using advanced electronic imaging stabilization. The drone also can record 1080P HD videos and store directly to the micro SD card for sharing with your family and friends.
The Holy Stone HS110G drone camera can see up to 110-degrees wide which is enough to capture most of the screen. You also can view video in real-time by connecting the drone to your smartphone to enable video streaming. The lighting quality though is alright as long as you fly the drone for recreational and to learn the basics of flight controls.
Holy Stone HS110G Drone: Features
One of the biggest perks that the Holy Stone HS110G drone has to offer is a boatload of features. Thanks to the built-in GPS module, this camera drone can perform intelligent flight modes and smart return to home function. Choose from these following intelligent flight modes: Follow Me Mode, Orbit Mode, and Customize Waypoint Mode.
It’s super easy to fly this drone thanks to its precise positioning feature. You also can track where this quadcopter is going by checking the built-in map locator. If you ever lose sight of the drone, just push the Smart Return to home button to recall. Beginners and recreational remote pilots also can take advantage of these two important features: Headless Mode and Altitude Hold.
While Altitude Hold is pretty much self-explanatory, Headless Mode changes the orientation of flight controls from drone to the movement lever on remote controller. Instead of flying based on the direction the drone is headed in, you fly the drone based on the direction you are pushing the movement lever. Additionally, there’s a number of safety features like out of range alarm, low power alarm and emergency stop.
Holy Stone HS110G Drone: Remote Controller
As we come close to the final conclusion of our in-depth Holy Stone HS110G drone review, we will talk about the remote controller that this quadcopter comes with. My first impression is the level of craftsmanship quality. The Holy Stone HS110G remote controller is made with durable, high-quality ABS plastic that provides superior durability. If you are a big fan of DJI drones such as Mavic 2 Pro or Mavic Air 2, you will absolutely love the design of the HS110G transmitter.
Because this remote controller comes with built-in handle grip that is comfortable enough to hold over extensive use. In addition to that, there is a mount holder that you can flip out to insert your personal smartphone. Which is a nice addition feature to have when you want to turn your remote controller into a real-time video streaming — especially when flying in First Person View (FPV) mode.
I also liked how the HS110G transmitter have built-in battery LED lights that indicates how much juice it has left inside. On average, the remote controller has an operating time of around two hours before it has to be recharged. For beginners and recreational remote pilots, the HS110G remote controller is one of the best designed that is free of excessive buttons and focuses on providing simple flight controls that makes the whole flying experience enjoyable.

Do you need a smartphone. I have an Android or does it make a difference? Is the instruction manual in very small print and needs a magnifying lens to read it.
