If you are looking for an action camera to mount on one of these compatible drones or to take with you on a vacation trip, the Campark V40 could be very well the one you have been waiting for.

I assembled an in-depth Campark V40 review to help guide you and determine whether you should buy this action camera. In this review, we are going to talk about Campark V40 action camera’s design and build quality, performance, features and such.

There’s plenty of action cameras out there but not all of them are great. In fact, some action cameras are affordable but don’t deliver the same performance and quality that Campark V40 has to offer. The same is true for other 4K native action cameras like the Victure AC490.

The Campark V40 is a great action camera that gives you the opportunity to become creative and find out what it can do. Stick around with us and let’s dive in to find out if this action camera is the perfect match to your expectations.

Package Contents

A lot of times buyers buy something and didn’t know they should’ve ordered along with the action cameras. It’s very common and this is why I decided to talk about the package contents of the Campark V40 action camera. While the package comes with everything you need to get started with. I highly recommend purchasing at least a 64GB microSD card to go with this action camera. Extra batteries is always a good idea and you can get a few more for Campark V40 if you want to.

Inside the package contents, you should expect to get these following items:

  • 2 x Batteries

  • 2 x Strap Mount
  • 5 x Tethers
  • 2 x Flat Surface Mount
  • 2 x Sticker
  • 1 x Lens Cloth

At first, it does sound like there’s a lot of items inside the package. But these mounts basically give you the ability to add to your drone, skateboard, surfing board, bicycle and even helmet. So this package aims at giving you plenty of ways to mount your action camera, set, record and go.

Design and Build Quality

At first glance, the Campark V40 action camera looks stylish and professional. It comes in dark grey coating with the company’s brand logo at the front side. As you can see, it says “UHD 4K” on the lower right corner. One of the design advantages that the Campark V40 action camera has to offer is the ability to preview both on the front and back side.

Indeed, this design feature lets the person at the front preview and make few adjustments before you capture stills or record videos. Personally, I am a big fan of this because this gives people the ability to decide how they want to appear in the images. Not a lot of action cameras have this type of design feature — so it is definitely a big move for Campark V40 action cameras.

To power on this camera, simply push and hold the power button on the right side. You will see the touchscreen flashing up momentarily. Afterwards, it is ready for action. To navigate around, just tap on the touchscreen and go to the settings to make a few tweaks. If you bought a brand new microSD card, I highly recommend you to format prior to storing footages on the action camera.

Design-wise, the Campark V40 is made with durable ABS plastic which provides good durability against rough impacts like accidental drops, bumping hard and such. I also liked how the power button is located on the side, as it helps create space between the video recording button. Overall, good design and build quality.

Camera Performance

In the next part of Campark V40 review, we are going to talk about this action camera’s performance. If you are just starting off and want a good high-quality action camera that can record in true 4K native resolution, then this is one you have been looking for.

Packed with true 4K resolution quality, it is able to produce 4K videos at 30 frames per second. Which makes it one of the most affordable and compact action cameras in the consumer market. The package comes with two batteries, though per battery charge will provide up to 90 – 120 minutes depending on how much you use and how much power it is required to record videos.

Campark V40 Camera

The Campark V40 action camera uses Electronic Image Stabilization to offer crisp and clear imagining. While it is definitely a major upgrade over these low-end action cameras, you can always go an extra step further with a handheld 3-axis gimbal stabilizer such as the Hohem iSteady Multi for instance.

A handheld gimbal stabilizer will be able to keep the action camera’s footage leveled and maintain smooth performance, regardless of how bumpy or rough the terrain is. This makes Campark V40 a very good action camera to pair with for extreme sports and even drones.

Features

The Campark V40 is one of the fewest action cameras that comes with tons of features. Most notable its ability to record true 4K video resolution quality at 30 frames per second and EIS. The dual screen is also another major design feature that gives both the person and yourself the advantage to see preview prior to capturing a still.

This action camera also is IPX7 waterproof. Without any protective waterproof case, it can remain submerged up to 15 feet deep. With a protective waterproof case, you can dive deeper up to 40 meters or 131 feet. For best experience, it is recommended you select Diving Mode to maximize visibility and capture in true quality underwater.

Campark V40 Action Camera Features

The Campark V40 action camera also has built-in Wi-Fi capabilities that lets you connect to a remote controller. To connect to your action camera, make sure the Wi-Fi settings is enabled on your device and find the Wi-Fi name to hook up with.

Aside from these awesome features that the Campark V40 action camera has to offer. It can perform various modes such as Burst Mode, Timelapse Mode, Slow-Motion Mode, Fast Motion Mode (known as Hyperlapse Mode) and more. These modes are an awesome way to get creative.
